Dear
Fellow Citizens:
How has your life been touched
by the United Way? Chances are a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker,
or maybe a family member has been helped by one of the partner
agencies funded by the United Way of Hernando County.
It is very likely you have been on the giving end of the United
Way, with a financial contribution to our campaign or by
volunteering your time during our Day of Caring or Volunteer
Hernando program. Maybe you have done both.
It is possible you have helped young girls and boys get involved in
scouting programs or sent them to a YMCA camp. You may have made it
possible for an abused woman and her children to find a safe place
to stay at the Dawn Center. You might have given a cancer patient
transportation to a treatment center, or helped a young adult live
independently and learn life skills through ARC of the Nature
Coast. A struggling family may have been able to make ends meet
because you gave to the United Way of Hernando County.
However you have chosen to help, you have been part of what matters
in our community. We are grateful for your support and encourage you
to continue helping us provide services to virtually thousands of
citizens—from the very young to the very elderly. Remember, your
donations stay in Hernando County.
Personally, I have been blessed by serving on the Board of Directors
of the United Way of Hernando County and witnessing first hand how
our agencies and this United Way produce results you can see.
Please take a few moments to read through our website, and discover
how your United Way takes care of our own by solving problems,
improving health, assisting during emergencies and investing in our
community.
With
gratitude,
Deanna Dammer Kimbrough, President
Board of Directors
