We review community needs, analyze our funding of agencies and make changes when necessary to provide the residents of our county with the assistance they need. We focus on the solutions that matter the most.

United Way of Hernando County is helping families and kids succeed. Children and Families are our heart's treasure and Hernando County's future. Children and Families are entitled to a real life, free from the dangers we see in the headlines. Every Child lost to drugs, abuse, or neglect knows piercing misery, and may become a casualty whose cost to Hernando County can’t be measured.

United Way of Hernando County is improving health and healing.

We help community members have access to timely and affordable healthcare for their physical and emotional well-being. Our programs are committed to helping people from education to family care, and/or services for the chronically ill.

United Way of Hernando County helps increase self-sufficiency.

United Way and our partners build bridges to better jobs, more stable lives, affordable housing. We teach reading and financial skills. Our information and referral line serves thousands each year with information to make their life better.

United Way of Hernando County provides for emergency assistance. 

The United Way office is your one-stop center for information to help you deal with a sudden emergency. United Way has information at its’ fingertips for almost any emergency situation. Agencies provide services if you are hungry, homeless, sad, or lonely. We are a one-stop  center for services.
